You will receive a link to the Inspection Details page from your inspector. This is where you will complete payment and sign the agreement forms. Your report will be locked until this is complete!
Once you open the report here is what you will see:
Use the corresponding numbers above as a guide to help you when Interpreting your Home Inspection report:
1. Filters
Show more or less by toggling between the Full Report, Summary (which includes, Safety Hazards/Recommendations/Maintenance Items) and Immediate Action Needed.
2. Summary
This gives you an overview of the number of items in need of attention and their severity.
3. Easy Sidebar Navigation
Click into any section to jump down to that item in the report. A blue circled number will be displayed next to that section based on how many maintenance/recommendations/safety hazards were present.
4. Report Tools
Copy and Paste - Use this to easily copy all the report text and paste it into other documents
Repair Request Builder - Use this to generate professional-looking repair request lists or for adding to your own requests for credit/repair. This can also be used for personal fix-it lists, etc. Read more about RRB here.
5. PDF
Use this to generate the PDF version of the report and to print the PDF.
Okay, now you have the basics down on how to navigate your report. Now you're wondering just how concerned you should be about the findings...
It is our job to make sure you're fully aware of the condition of the home. We will make sure to educate you on the good, the bad, what warrants caution, and even the items that just need a little TLC.
